Bayesian Models for Graph Data and the Open Problem of Invariance in Networks
Monday, November 18th, 2013, 10:30 am–10:55 am
Speaker:
I will recap how exchangeability works for graph data and why it is fundamental to the Bayesian approach; this is closely related to the theory of graph limits. I will then discuss why exchangeable models are misspecified for network data, and summarize what we know about the (so far completely open) problem of finding an alternative concept suitable for networks.
