This talk presents various aspects of Coulomb gases models, in connection with statistical physics, high dimensional probability, as well as numerical analysis. It is designed to be accessible, yet connected to recent results, in particular to the work https://arxiv.org/abs/1909.00613 on two-dimensional jelliums in collaboration with Paul Jung and David Garcia-Zelada, and to the work https://arxiv.org/abs/1907.05803 on conditioned gases in collaboration with Gr´egoire Ferré and Gabriel Stoltz.
