Quantum and Classical LDPC Codes

Organizers:

Nikolas Breuckmann (University of Bristol), Anthony Leverrier (INRIA)

Quantum low-density parity-check (qLDPC) codes are the quantum analogs of classical LDPC codes, which are widely used in modern technologies. There have been tremendous recent advances in the construction and decoding of qLDPC codes, and closely related constructions on the classical side leading to new locally decodable codes. These constructions have already found applications in quantum complexity theory and hold out promise for advances on the quantum PCP conjecture and very efficient protocols for fault tolerant quantum computation. This workshop will bring together researchers from TCS, information and coding theory, mathematics, physics.
