In a scenario involving a data holder and an untrusted researcher, there is no way to decide whether arbitrary code contributed by the researcher meets semantic privacy guarantees. A privacy wrapper is an algorithm that interacts with an arbitrary script, treated as a black box, and produces a differentially private output. We present recent results demonstrating novel techniques for building privacy wrappers.
