Robots must solve complex optimization problems that fuse continuous dynamics with discrete actions in order to navigate an uncertain world. In this mini-symposium, we will discuss some of these optimization challenges, discussing problems in mechanics, real-time control, and human robotic interaction. In particular, we will highlight those problems at the interface between discrete and continuous optimization.
All presentations take place at the Calvin Lab auditorium.
