Hu's research interests focus on developing computational and statistical methods to analyze such biological big data. Specifically, he is working on (1) genetic variant impact interpretation, (2) genomic privacy, (3) eukaryotic pan-genomics, and (4) alternative splicing and nonsense-mediated mRNA decay.
