Zaid Harchaoui
Zaid Harchaoui is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics, an Adjunct Faculty in the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science; Engineering, and a Data Science Fellow in the eScience Institute at University of Washington. He is a co-founder of IFDS, the NSF-TRIPODS institute on the foundations of data science. He received the doctoral degree from Telecom ParisTech. He was a CNRS Fellow in the LTCI research unit of CNRS and Telecom ParisTech. He held a visiting appointment at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University in 2015 – 2016. He was a permanent researcher in the LEAR team at Inria from 2010 to 2015. He was also a member of the Microsoft Research - Inria research center. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Carnegie Mellon University in 2009.
