Yusu Wang

Associate Professor, Ohio State University

Yusu Wang is currently an Associate Professor at the Computer Science and Engineering Department at the Ohio State University. She received MS and PhD degrees from Duke University, and BS degree from Tsinghua University. Before joining OSU she was a post-doctoral researcher at Geometric Computing lab in Stanford University from 2004-2005. From 2012--2013, she was a Visiting Professor at the Institute of Science and Technology (IST), Austria. Wang works in the field of computational geometry and topology. She is particularly interested in bringing algorithms, computation and mathematical concepts/thinking together to develop effective geometric/topological measures and methodologies for fundamental problems involved in modern data analysis. Wang received DOE (Dept. of Energy) Early Career Principal Investigator Award in 2006, and NSF (National Science Foundation) Career Award in 2008. Her work received the Best Paper Award at SIGSPATIAL/GIS 2015, Best Student Paper Award at COLT 2015, and a Best Paper Award at EuroVis 2010. She is currently on the editorial board of Journal of Computational Geometry.
