Toni Pitassi
Toniann Pitassi received her bachelor's degree and master's degree from Pennsylvania State University, followed by a PhD from the University of Toronto in 1992. After postdoctoral work at UCSD, Pitassi served on the faculties of the University of Pittsburgh (in Mathematics with a joint appointment in Computer Science), and the University of Arizona (in Computer Science). In the fall of 2001, Pitassi moved back to the University of Toronto, where she is currently a Professor in the Computer Science Department, with a joint appointment in Mathematics. She currently holds a 5-6 year appointment at IAS where Pitassi spends one semester a year. Her research area is computational complexity, with a particular focus on communication complexity and proof complexity.
