Thibaut Le Gouic

Thibaut Le Gouic is a Maitre de Conférence (Associate Professor) at the Institut de Mathématiques de Marseille and the Ecole Centrale de Marseille since 2014. He earned his PhD thesis at the Université Paul Sabatier in 2013.
In 2019, he went on a sabbatical research at HSE (Moscow, Russia) and then went to MIT (Cambdrige, USA) as a visiting associate professor for 2 years.
His research interests lie at the interaction between statistics, probability theory and geometry. In the recent years, he has been focusing on sampling and optimal transport.
