Teresa Przytycka

Teresa's research focuses on the computational analysis of dynamical properties of biological systems, including spatial, temporal and/or contextual variation, and explores how such variations impact gene expression and affect the network topology, function, and phenotype of the organism. In particular, her group strives to understand the emergence of complex disease phenotypes such as cancer, to identify molecular pathways dysregulated in cancer, and to develop computational methods for detecting casual genetic mutations and their interactions. She is also working on understanding the role of alternative DNA structures for gene regulation and developing methods for analysis of HT SELEX data.
