Surbhi Goel is a PhD student in the department of computer science at the University of Texas at Austin, advised by Adam Klivans. Her interests lie at the intersection of theory and machine learning. She is specifically interested in developing a rigorous theoretical understanding of deep learning through developing provable algorithms for efficient neural network learning which generalize to unseen data.
