Suman Chakraborty
Suman Chakraborty received his PhD from the Department of Statistics and Operations Research (STOR) at UNC-Chapel Hill in May 2018. After that, he was a postdoctoral assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor from September 2018 to April 2020. Currently, he is a postdoc at NETWORKS, and his host universities are the Eindhoven University of Technology and Leiden University. Broadly, his research interests span discrete probability theory, probabilistic combinatorics, and statistics. He is interested in problems that have originated from various branches of science, such as network science, statistical physics, computer science, and mathematical finance. He tries to develop mathematical techniques to understand and solve some of these problems. His recent works include exponential models on large networks, nonlinear large deviations, and processes on percolated graphs.
