Samet Oymak is a postdoctoral scholar in the AMPLab at UC Berkeley. He received his BSc from Bilkent University in 2009 and his PhD from Caltech in 2014, both in electrical engineering. At Caltech, he was advised by Babak Hassibi. His current research interests are high dimensional estimation, statistical machine learning, convex optimization, and random matrix theory.
