Sam Hopkins
Postdoctoral Fellow, UC Berkeley
Sam Hopkins studies algorithms and computational complexity, especially for problems arising in high-dimensional statistics, and through the lens of convex optimization. He received a BS in mathematics and computer science from the University of Washington and a PhD in computer science from Cornell University, and held a Miller Postdoctoral Fellowship at UC Berkeley. In academic year 2021-2022 he will join MIT as an Assistant Professor of computer science.
