Pierre-Alain Fouque
Pierre-Alain Fouque is a professor in computer science at Rennes University in France, where he is co-leader of the EMSEC research group in security and cryptography. Prior to that, he was an assistant professor in the cryptography group at Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris between 2003 and 2011, and a researcher at Inria from 2011 to 2012. He was a member of the Institut Universitaire de France between 2013 and 2018, a visitor at EPFL in 2009, Weizmann Institute of Science and Haifa University in 2011, and at NTT in 2018.
Pierre-Alain's main area of research expertise is cryptanalysis of symmetric ciphers, public-key cryptanalysis (multivariate and lattice-based cryptography) and side-channel attack. Currently, he is interested in lattice algorithms and using statistical tools for studying the security of lattice-based cryptographic implementations.
