Peggy Seriès
Senior Lecturer, University of Edinburgh
Peggy Series began her career studying Engineering (ISEP, Paris), Artificial Intelligence (University of Sussex, UK) and Biomathematics (Paris VI). Series went on to do her PhD at CNRS in Gif-sur-Yvette (France), focusing on computational models of the primary visual cortex. She then took several postdoctoral positions on more theoretical topics related to the coding of information in large populations of neurons – at the University of Rochester (NY, USA), UCL (London), and NYU (NYC) – before joining the University of Edinburgh as a Lecturer, where she focuses mainly on Bayesian models of cognition and their applications for psychiatry.
