Or Sheffet obtained his PhD from the Department of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, advised by Professor Avrim Blum. Although his research interests lie mainly in machine learning, he is also interested in clustering, algorithmic game theory and privacy. Sheffet has a BSc degree in Math and Computer Science from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, where he worked with Professor Nati Linial, and a MSc in Computer Science from the Weizmann Institute of Technology, where he was advised by Professor Oded Goldreich. After earning his master's degree, Sheffet worked as a researcher in the Video Analytics team at Verint Systems Inc.
