Matthias Christandl
Professor, University of Copenhagen
Matthias Christandl is a professor at the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen. He received his PhD from Cambridge University in 2006, and held faculty positions at the University of Munich and ETH Zurich before moving to Copenhagen. He works in the field of quantum information theory, with a particular focus on quantum communication, entanglement and entropy. At present, he is exploring a surprising connection between entanglement theory and algebraic complexity theory.
