Luke Oeding
Assistant Professor, Auburn University
Luke Oeding received his PhD in mathematics from Texas A&M University in 2009, working with JM Landsberg. Before starting his current position as an assistant professor of mathematics at Auburn University, he held an NSF International Research postdoctoral fellowship in Florence, Italy (2009-2011), working with Giorgio Ottaviani, and an NSF RTF postdoctoral position at UC Berkeley (2011-2013) working with Bernd Sturmfels. Luke's research focuses on applications of algebraic geometry and representation theory to signal processing, algebraic statistics, computer vision, and computational complexity.
