Li-Yang Tan

Assistant Professor, Stanford University

Li-Yang Tan is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Stanford University. His research is in theoretical computer science, with an emphasis on complexity theory. More specifically, he works in circuit complexity, pseudorandomness, analysis of boolean functions, learning theory, and property testing. Before joining Stanford, Li-Yang was at UC Berkeley Simons Institute and TTI Chicago. He received his PhD from Columbia University, where he was advised by Rocco Servedio.
