Karl Bringmann
Senior Researcher, Max Planck Institute for Informatics
Karl Bringmann studied mathematics as well as computer science at Saarland University, Germany, obtaining his MSc degrees in 2011. From 2011 till 2014 he was doctoral student at Max Planck Institute for Informatics, Saarbrücken, Germany, and at Saarland University. Since September 2014 he has been a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Theoretical Computer Science at ETH Zurich. The central areas of his work are randomized algorithms, computational geometry, and lower bounds. During his academic career he has been supported by a stipend of the German National Academic Foundation, a Google European Doctoral Fellowship, and an ETH Zurich Postdoctoral Fellowship.
