Jesko Hüttenhain
Technical University of Berlin
Jesko Hüttenhain is a PhD student with interests in algorithmic and computational aspects of algebraic geometry and algebra. His current research focuses on the geometry of orbits and orbit closures arising in the context of geometric complexity theory. Hüttenhain studied Mathematics with a focus on algebraic geometry and minored in Computer Science at the University of Bonn. His thesis, under the supervision of Nitin Saxena, deals with a certain class of branched coverings and resolution of their singularities, relating to efforts to derandomize PIT. In June of 2013, Hüttenhain began his PhD studies in Peter Bürgisser's group at TU Berlin.
