Jean-Philippe Vert is a research professor at MINES ParisTech, director of the Centre for Computational Biology, and deputy director of a joint laboratory at Institut Curie on computational and systems biology of cancer. He graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and holds a PhD in mathematics from Paris 6 University. His research is in machine learning and applications in biology and medicine, particularly on cancer genomics.
