James Siderius
James Siderius is a final-year PhD candidate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems (LIDS) within the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS). He is advised by Asu Ozdaglar from MIT LIDS/EECS and Daron Acemoglu from MIT Economics. James will graduate in September 2022 after doing an internship at Microsoft Research New England and will continue as a one-year post-doctoral researcher at MIT.
The focuses of James's research include network models and learning with specific applications to game theory, economics, and finance, and a particular focus on systemic risk in endogenous financial networks and the spread of misinformation in social (media) networks.
