Frank Verstraete
Professor, University of Vienna
Frank Verstraete is interested in quantum entanglement, quantum many body systems and quantum information theory. He received his PhD at the University of Leuven in 2002. From 2002 to 2004, Verstraete was a postdoc in Ignacio Cirac's group at the Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics. During the following two years, Verstraete was a postdoc in John Preskill's group at the IQI at Caltech. Verstraete has been a full professor in theoretical physics at the University of Vienna since 2006 and also holds a professorship at the University of Ghent.
