Fabio Martinelli

Fabio Martinelli is a Professor of Mathematics at the Rome Tre University, where he has been since 1998 as a faculty member. His main research interests include probability theory and its applications to statistical physics and randomised algorithms in computer science. He has been an associate editor of Probability Theory and Related Fields, Annales de l'Institut H. Poincaré, Alea, and Journal of Statistical Physics. Since September 2015, he has been a managing editor together with M. Ledoux of the journal, Probability Theory and Related Fields. In 2002, he was a Miller visiting professor at UC Berkeley, and in 2013 he was a visiting research scientist in the Theory Group of Microsoft Research. In 2009, he was awarded an Advanced Grant by the European Research Council.
