Daniel Wichs

Associate Professor, Northeastern University

Daniel Wichs is an associate professor at the Khoury College of Computer Science at Northeastern University, where he has been a faculty member since 2013. He received his PhD from NYU in 2011, advised by Yevgeniy Dodis, and was a postdoctoral researcher at IBM T.J. Watson. He is the recipient of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Research Fellowship, the NSF CAREER Award, the IBM Josef Raviv Memorial Postdoctoral Fellowship, and the NYU Janet Fabri Prize for Outstanding Dissertation in Computer Science. His research interests lie broadly in the area of cryptography, including its theoretical foundations and its applications to information security. He has over 85 publications, mainly at top-tier venues such as CRYPTO, EUROCRYPT, STOC, FOCS, with over 7,300 citations and an H-index of 43.
