Daniel Plaumann
Professor, Technical University of Dortmund
Daniel Plaumann's research interests are in algebra, geometry, and its applications. More specifically, Daniel has worked on hyperbolic polynomials, stable polynomials, determinantal representations, matrix inequalities, real algebraic curves, positive polynomials, sums of squares, and moment problems.
Daniel received his PhD in mathematics from the University of Konstanz, Germany, in 2008. He was a research fellow with the Humboldt foundation at UC Berkeley in 2010 and a research fellow at NTU Singapore in 2014. Since 2016, Daniel has held a position for algebra and its applications at Dortmund University.
