Ben Green
Professor, University of Oxford
Ben Green received his PhD from the University of Cambridge, under the supervision of Timothy Gowers. During that time, he spent two years as a visiting student at Princeton. He held postdoctoral positions at Cambridge and the University of British Columbia, and a professorship at the University of Bristol, before returning to Cambridge as the first Herchel Smith Professor of Pure Mathematics. After seven years in that position, he moved to his current position as the Waynflete Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford. Green is interested in many aspects of number theory, analysis and discrete maths, and in particular, the area known as additive combinatorics.
