Atri Rudra

Associate Professor, SUNY Buffalo

Atri Rudra is an Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at SUNY Buffalo, State University of New York, Buffalo. Atri received his bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India in 2000, and his PhD from the University of Washington in 2007. From 2000 to 2002, he was a Research Staff Member at IBM India Research Lab, New Delhi, India.

His research interests lie in theoretical computer science and in particular, theory of error-correcting codes, database algorithms, sub-linear algorithms, computational complexity, finite field theory and applications. He is a recipient of a NSF CAREER Award (2009), a HP Labs Innovation Research Award (2010), an ESA Best Paper Award (2010), an UB Exceptional Scholars-Young Investigator Award (2011), a PODS Best Paper Award (2012), and an IBM Faculty Award (2013).
