Andru Gheorgiu

Andru Gheorgiu is a Postgraduate Research Student in the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh, in his second year of PhD, working on Secure Delegated Quantum Computation. He is also a member of the Laboratory for Foundations of Computer Science (LFCS) and of the Quantum Information Scotland Network (QUISCO). He obtained his BSc in Computer Science from the Politehnica University of Bucharest and his MSc in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh, where he graduated with distinction and received the Best Informatics Project award for his thesis, Entangled Servers vs. Single Server Quantum Verification. He has also received the Best Student Paper award at the QCrypt 2015 International Conference on Quantum Cryptography, for the paper, "Robustness and Device Independence of Verifiable Blind Quantum Computing". His work is primarily related to the fields of Quantum Cryptography, Quantum Computation and Quantum Information Theory.
