Bartlett Mel
Associate Professor, University of Southern California
Bartlett Mel received his BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley in 1983, and his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in 1989. He spent five years as a postdoctoral fellow at Caltech, working in the laboratory of Christof Koch. Mel joined the Biomedical Engineering Department at USC in the fall of 1994, and established the Laboratory for Neural Computation. He is a member of the Neuroscience Graduate Program, and has a joint appointment in the Department of Psychology.
