Mike Walfish
Michael Walfish is an associate professor in the Computer Science department at New York University (NYU), which he joined in 2014. Prior to that, he was an assistant professor in the Computer Science department at The University of Texas at Austin, which he joined in 2009. His research interests are in systems, security, and networking. His honors include an Air Force Young Investigator Award (2010), an NSF CAREER Award (2011), a Sloan Research Fellowship (2012), a Teaching Excellence Award from the UT College of Natural Sciences (2012), the Intel Early Career Faculty Honor Program (2012), and the UT Society for Teaching Excellence (2012). He received his B.A. from Harvard and his Ph.D. from MIT, both in Computer Science.
