In Bitcoin, the details of a payment are broadcast in the clear, so that anyone can verify their validity. Unfortunately, this violates user privacy and sacrifices coin fungibility. In this talk I will explain how zero knowledge proofs have been used to achieve privacy-preserving payments in a Bitcoin-like system.
