Non-Malleable Cryptography
This talk will provide the technical context surrounding the eponymous 1991 paper of Dolev, Dwork, and Naor, one of the earliest works anticipating the cryptographic challenges presented by what is described in the paper as a “scenario of interconnected computers” and is now known as the Internet. After defining (non-)malleability by example, the talk will summarize the contributions of the original paper, highlight some of its influence on later work, and conclude with open questions.
